 Multi Cyclone Solids Remover
The new Multi Cyclone Solids Remover is an innovative pre-filter device that is both capable of saving water and reducing filter maintenance. The Multi Cyclone device works on the principal of centrifugal water filtration, with no moving parts and no filter media to clean or replace. These 'plug and Play' devices will provide years of maintenance free service.
The Mulit Cyclone is best suited and designed as a pre-filter, which in turn can extend the life of your existing filter by reducing it's workload as well a cutting water consumption.
How Does It Work?
Incoming water enters, via the inlet at the base of the unit, 16 hydro cyclones tangentially generating a strong centrifugal flow within the unit. The sediment is then spun out to the sides of the hydro cyclones wall where it then spirals it's way down to the sediment collection bowl.
The now filtered water migrates itself towards the centre of the hydro cyclone where the water flow reverses and then spirals upwards through the outlet at the top of the device. Due to the multi cyclone's clear sediment bowl the accumulation of sediment is visibly easy to monitor, when cleaning is required simply open the 25mm sediment valve and flush to waste, this procedure talkes seconds and only uses 15 litres of water.

The filtration efficiency of the MultiCyclone was tested by feeding 5 to 80 micron dust particles through the MultiCyclone and analyzing the percentage dust particles trapped in the sediment bowl. Laboratory test revealed that the MultiCyclone was effective at filtering particles sized 40 to 80 microns. |
