Oribe (Carved Buddha) Japanese Lantern
The Oribe is one of the oldest known Japanese Lanterns. The Oribe is believed to have been first produced during the Momyana period by war the lord Furata Oribe from where the lanter derives it's name.
The Oribe Japanese Lantern is a square lantern in classic 'planted' style with no base stone. There is a carved Buddha on the pedastal stone. The Oribe is also known as the "Christian Lantern".
The Oribe Japanese Lanter is pre-drilled for electric cables making this lantern easy to illuminate. A truly wonderful lantern and another of our best sellers.
