Pond Sieve
The Pond Sieve is a simple to use and effective mechanical pre-filter for pressurised filtration systems and surface skimmers.
It is essential to use Pond Sieve in front of any type of pressurised bead filter to help prevent the necessity of excessive backwashing or clogging of these types of biological filters.
The Sieve is simply connected to either the bottom drain line or a skimmer line and is set 50mm above the water surface of the pond.
The Pond Sieve utilises a 300 micron screen and the flow is regulated by a new floating weir system 'Pondflow' (patent pending no. 102279) which overcomes the reliability and installation problems often associated with this type of product in the past.
