BaoBio HukuiMed
BaoBio HikuiMed is a topical treatment for the Hikui disease found on ornamental Koi. Hikui is a degenerative disease usually restricted to the red (Hi) pigment cells on the skin of the Koi. Prized Koi are damaged by Hikui, resulting in great dissapointment to the Koi keeper as the aesthetics of the fish become evermore displeasing.
The cause of Hikui disease is a highly debateable topic within current Koi keeping circles. There are those who believe that Hikui disease is more prevalent in pond systems with poor solids removal and a high exposure to sunlight, with others believing that Hikui disease is a genetic disposition to the bloodline of the fish. A strong body of evidence suggests that Hikui disease is typical of a viral lesion. Nevertheless, BaoBio HikuiMed is an effective treatment that eradicates this lesion known as Hikui and is also effective against other viral lesions on Koi such as Carp-Pox.
The sucess of BaoBio HikuiMed in treating these conditions is dependant of the products unique formulation containing only natural ingredients. BaoBio HikuiMed will stop the the spread of the lesion from the first application and continuous use will reduce the size of the lesion until the skin is fully repaired and healed. BaoBio HikuiMed contains ingredients that will aid the regeneration of skin tissue and minimise the formation of scar tissue. The product contains an easy to use applicator brush and all the raw ingredients used are to the highest standard and quality, thus resulting in the healing of the lesions and the good re-growth of the skin tissue.

BaoBio HikuiMed Directions for Use:
The Application of BaBio HikuiMed is simple and yet effective and has been designed for ease of use by the Koi Hobbyist. The fish is anaesthetised in a bath or bowl and removed onto a moist working mat or towel. The wound is blotted dry using absorbent paper. Dead and or flaking skin should then be gently removed. BaoBio HikuiMed is then painted onto the wound or lesion generously allowing the active ingredients to soak into the affected area. No drying is required and the fish can be returned to the water soon after application. Results from the healing process should be noticeable within one week. This treatment should then be repeated on a weekly basis until the lesion has stabilized. Once the lesion has stabilized a cosmetic application should be applied once or twice a month to aid with skin regeneration. Complete regeneration will take time and is dependant on temperature, diet and water conditions.
It must be noted that the complete eradication of Hikui disease is a slow process and the hobbyist should be diligent about continued treatment to ensure the repair and regeneration of the damaged tissue. |
