BaoBio FinMed
BaoBio FinMed is a topical treatment designed specifically for the treatment of infected fins. An infected fin can often be the result of physical injury, bacterial infection, or funghi. Bacterial infection of the fin results in what we all understand to be "fin rot" (bacterial fin rot). The wound is then susceptible to the colonisation of opportunistic funghi such as Sprolegnia SPP. Lesions on the fins (unlike on any other part of the body) require a different treatment regime which is unique to the fins. BaoBio FinMed is designed specifically for the treatment of fin rot and will result in rapid healing of damaged fins.
BaoBio FinMed Product Features:
- A new generation topical treatment for fins
- Designed for use by the hobbyist
- Effective against bacterial lesions on fins
- Effective against fungal infection on fins
- Aids both the repair and healing of split and torn fins
BaoBio FinMed is supplied as a kit comprising two mixtures. The first solution is used as a bath to wash the infected area. This results in the localised oxidation of the infected area thus cleaning and disinfecting the wound. The second solution serves as a liquid plaster, which results in rapid healing of the wound. Treatment using BaoBio FinMed will sanitise the wound and prevent the proliforation of bacteria and funghi whilst speedily promoting the repair and regrowth of the damaged tissue. BaoBio FinMed is formulated from high grade ingredients and has undergone years of development and testing.
BaoBio FinMed Directions For Use:
The application of the bath solution is directed to the site of infection through the use of a nozzle topped bottle, and the coating solution (liquid plaster) is simply painted on thereafter. The treatment can easily be performed by the average hobbyist as follows:
The fish is anaesthetised in a bath or vat and removed onto a moist working mat or towel. The wound is then blotted dry using a paper towel. At this point damaged fin ends should be trimmed if necessary. BaoBio FinMed bath solution is then generously dropped onto the infected area ensuring that the entire wound has been disinfected. After one minute, BaoBio FinMed coating solution is then painted onto the infected area and allowed to dry. Drying time can be minimised by the use of positive assisted air drying. Once the wound is dry to the touch the fish can be returned to the water. Healing will be noticeable within five days and it is recommended that the BaoBio FinMed coating solution be reapplied every seven days until the fin has been fully repaired. Badly split fins may require suturing in order to speed up the healing process for which BaoBio FinMed coating solution can be used to coat the line of the suture.
BaoBio FinMed has been purposely designed so that the average Koi keeper can successfully complete a course of treatment. As mentioned above, BaoBio FinMed comes in kit form containing a 15ml bath solution in an amber dropper bottle, and an 8ml coating solution in a brush bottle. |
